This wonderful Japanese classic is finally released in Dutch cinemas.

After twelve-year-old Renko's parents divorce, her father leaves and Renko stays behind with her mother Nazuna in Kyoto. As Nazuna establishes rules for their new way of living, Renko decides to decides to follow her own path. All changes will have to happen according to her plan.

Moving is a (yes) moving family drama and an unconventional coming-of-age film about a stubborn and smart teenager. The story is told in many styles, from sober to ecstatically colourful.
