The Art of Sin is a journey spanning worlds and cultures, art and religion, national identities, genders and love.
Sudanese artist Ahmed Umar arrived in Norway in 2008 as a political refugee from his homeland, then one of seven countries to punish same-sex conduct with the death penalty. Seven years later, many in the Sudanese community turn on him when he comes out on Facebook, and the young artist soon discovers that even liberal Norway can hold perils for openly gay immigrants.
Despite everything, Ahmed longs to return home and reconnect with his roots - but will his country and his family accept or reject him? Crossing cultures and countries, Mursal's film captures the essence of a remarkable individual as he evolves before our eyes.

The International Queer & Migrant Film Festival Amsterdam (IQMF) is an annual event that focuses on films and art related to queer and migrant themes. Founded in 2015, the festival offers a multidisciplinary space with film screenings, art exhibitions, workshops and discussions, and strives to promote a diverse and inclusive society.
Antonij Karadzoski studied Architecture and Engineering, but after fleeing from his native Macedonia because of homophobia, he now focuses primarily on human rights/LHBTIQ+ rights. He is a human rights activist, artist and trainer in artivism (fusion of activism and art). He uses art as a method to break down stereotypes and discrimination within the LGBT community.
