In RUIM, three dancers navigate their way through an overcrowded and crooked living space. They slide, climb, and squeeze between furniture and walls. How do you truly make a place feel like home? And how much space do you really need for that?
About RUIM
The housing crisis is a major issue. We live in tiny rooms, pay too much, and settle for less because we're afraid of the difficult search for a home.
This acrobatic dance performance explores the challenges of the housing market, but also celebrates the human ability to remain creative. The dancers continuously rebuild their own space—hanging from lamps, shifting furniture, and leaping over couches. They learn to give and to take space. And when the dust finally settles, one question remains: what makes a house a home?
There is no spoken dialogue in this performance.
