Stretch, blow up, float, connect, and... smash! In Balaballona, three dancers meet for the first time. At first, there is distance and shyness, but then the balloons appear—each with its own color and emotion.
About Balaballona
The colors, the material, and the different shapes and stages of the balloons form the basis for how the dancers move, how their relationships develop, and how the story unfolds without words. Red represents struggle, yellow joy, blue calm—the dancers physically respond to the emotional tone of each color, and the audience recognizes it immediately.
The performance ends interactively: children (and their parents or caregivers) are invited to join the dancers in experiencing the joyful finale together.
There is no spoken dialogue in this performance.
