What we leave behind

In What we leave behind, Ivgi & Greben trace the marks we leave behind and the echoes of the past that continue to resonate within us. Seven dancers move between looking forward and looking back, in a continuous dialogue between present and past, art and life.
About the dance performance What we leave behind
At the centre is a colourful structure made of paint, built from the posthumous work of painter Ruven Levav, which transforms into a shelter and a source of new imagination. From this space, personal actions and painterly tableaux unfold, filled with strong emotions and subtle connections.
A powerful dance performance about legacy, connection and the capacity for transformation—about what we carry with us, what we leave behind, and how nothing ever fully disappears.
In What we leave behind, Ivgi & Greben trace the marks people leave behind. Seven dancers move between memory and future, between holding on and letting go.
A colourful structure of paint, created from the posthumous work of Ruven Levav, forms the heart of the performance. From this space, scenes emerge that continuously change form.
A clear and visual dance performance about legacy, connection and transformation: about what we carry, what we leave behind, and how everything remains in motion.
- Concept and choreography Uri Ivgi, Johan Greben in collaboration with the dancers
- Dramaturgy Judith Schoneveld
- Music composition Tom Parkinson
