Let yourself be carried away by a raw, intimate solo that balances between fantasy and reality. In We play so hard it hurts, Fernando Troya takes you on a personal journey filled with desire, play, and self-exploration.

About the performance We play so hard it hurts

In this solo, Troya dives into the hidden world of cruising culture, in search of genuine connection and tenderness. Inspired by the story of Peter Pan, he blends dance, theatre, and autobiography into a powerful performance about queer identity, freedom, and the courage to be yourself. He doesn't just play; he questions, exposes, and invites.

Ten mattresses form the dynamic set with which Troya builds, breaks down, and transforms. The space constantly shifts, becoming a metaphor for the search for intimacy and the pain of endless longing. We play so hard it hurts is both playful and raw – an ode to vulnerability, desire, and the power of imagination.
