A special ode to femininity from the creators of Boys Won’t Be Boys, winner of the Winq Culture Award 2024. In Girls Won’t Be Girls, we break through boundaries, closed doors, and glass ceilings. Eight diverse performers (f/x/m) take you on a journey through a mix of music, dance, cabaret, and poetry. Sometimes funny, sometimes emotional, and sometimes confronting. Come listen, laugh, reflect, and together retell our story.

Girls Won’t Be Girls is a place where we come together to catch our breath, truly see each other, and feel what femininity means to each of us—or to stretch those ideas wide open.
In each performance, eight ever-changing performers (f/x/m) offer a special ode to femininity in all its forms. Through music, dance, cabaret, stories, and poetry, you’ll be moved, laugh out loud, or find yourself thinking about it days later. Tip: bring your activist grandma, your curious friend, or your favorite teenager.
The performance is partly in Dutch and partly in English.
