SHIFFT tells this story through a raw, physical movement language. Five young, exceptionally strong performers move through a futuristic setting in which everything revolves around contact: carrying one another, pushing one another away, needing one another. The dance is intense—sometimes vulnerable, sometimes acrobatic, always close.
About Biotopia
Biotopia is an immersive and explosive dance experience about the strength and vulnerability of living together. We follow five people who leave Earth — not because they want to, but because they have to. Their destination: Planet Nine, a distant planet. Along the way, they are confined to a space capsule, far from home, with no escape and no privacy. What begins as a shared journey full of hope develops into an intense form of coexistence in which friendship, love and frustration are constantly shifting. When the capsule is hit by drifting space debris, everything comes under pressure. Can you continue to care for one another as the space becomes smaller? And what happens when one person loses balance?
