About ATLAS
ATLAS is the newest physical performance by collective ROTOR, a poetic exploration of carrying responsibility in a hyper-individualized society. As we collectively risk buckling under the pressure of our glorified independence - carrying the sky on our shoulders alone to prevent it from falling to earth - ROTOR asks whether another movement is possible. Inspired by the works The Burnout Society and Vita Contemplativa by philosopher Byung-Chul Han, this performance explores the questions: who carries which responsibility, and above all, what does it mean to carry it together? In a world of increasing pressure, burnouts and growing individualism, can we lighten the weight by working together and sharing responsibility?
There is no spoken dialogue in this performance.
