In A Story of Displacement, we meet a group of people adrift, searching for a familiar place, a home. Wobbling on uncertain ground, they risk sinking and being left behind. In this no-man’s land, they must rely on each other.
About A Story of Displacement
The dancers and acrobats move across slanted, rocky surfaces and springy floor panels that catch their falls, slow their movements, or amplify them. This creates a unique movement style where moments of lightness alternate with the struggle to maintain balance. The performance takes place in a world where different rules seem to apply, and where movement reveals both struggle and hope. The music—a new take on modern techno—is performed live and adds to the power of the whole experience.
