Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, two CIA agents are sent to Easter Island. What begins as a stay on a remote island soon turns into a confrontation with their past and the intrigues of the present.

CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are sent from Santiago to Easter Island by their superior, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Amid the island’s iconic landscapes, the longtime partners are forced to confront their dark past and the intrigues of the present. When Chris unexpectedly forms a bond with two rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas), their stay in this remote paradise threatens to spiral completely out of control.
