After a bizarre accident leaves Fransje Hermans in a wheelchair, he seems doomed to while away his days in the sleepy village of Lomark.
Because of the accident, he can no longer move or speak, and aside from one functional arm, his life seems hopeless. That changes, however, when the charismatic and reckless newcomer Joe Speedboot arrives and forms an unlikely friendship with Fransje. Will he help Fransje realize his passionate dreams and satisfy his longing for the enchanting PJ, or is he merely the next project for the adventure-hungry Joe?
