In search of inspiration for her new novel, writer Sylvie (Isabelle Huppert) spies on her neighbors across the street, filling in the details of their lives through the lens of her own imagination.

When homeless Adam (Adam Bessa) enters her life, those stories unexpectedly begin to take on a life of their own. Soon, the line between fiction and reality starts to blur, until the two become almost impossible to tell apart.

With the intriguing drama Histoires Parallèles, two-time Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi (A Separation, The Salesman) returns to Paris for his first French-language film since Le Passé, with an all-star French cast including Isabelle Huppert, Virginie Efira, Vincent Cassel, Catherine Deneuve, Pierre Niney, and Adam Bessa.
