Halim and his wife Mina run a traditional caftan shopin the medina of Salé, Morocco. The caftans are embroidered by Halim himself, who possesses a remarkable skill. The couple are affectionate but do harbour a great secret. The balance shifts as they battle Mina's illness and welcome a new apprentice. United in their love, they help each other to face their fears.
