Hirayama is perfectly happy with his simple life as a public toilet cleaner in Tokyo. Besides his structured daily routine he harbours a passion for music, books and the trees he photographs. A number of unexpected encpounters gradually reveal more about his past. Perfect Days is a moving and poetic reflection on finding beauty in day-to-day life. Winner of the Best Actor prize at the Cannes film festival.
