Oscar winner Mike van Diem wrote and directed this compelling and razor-sharp film. Top actors Thekla Reuten, Fedja van Huêt, Noortje Herlaar, and Valentijn Dhaenens play two couples who find themselves in a moral struggle over the lives of their daughters and go to extremes in the process.
Two couples who are friends have been sharing a vacation home in the Austrian Alps for years. When their teenage daughters are involved in an accident during a joint vacation, their apparent friendship quickly crumbles. Old wounds and pent-up frustrations drive the parents further and further apart when they learn that one daughter can be saved, but only if the other girl is given up.
What begins as a moral dilemma degenerates into an absurd battle full of manipulation and desperate actions, further blurring the boundaries of decency. Because when it comes to your child, anything goes. Right?
