Film – Hayao Miyazaki
Expat Cinema: Howl’s Moving Castle
An enchanting animation by animation legend Hayao Miyazaki, full of magic and wonder for young and old alike.
When an insecure young woman is cursed with an old body by a spiteful witch, her only chance to break the spell lies with a smug but insecure young wizard and his companions in his walking castle on legs.
Howl's Moving Castle is a breathtaking story about self-discovery, resistance to war, and the healing power of love. With its moving architecture, Joe Hisaishi's lush music, and a parade of unforgettable characters, the film enchants young and old alike.
