Reflective and tender film about old loves and missed opportunities.
After his trilogy about the struggles of the working classes, director Stéphane Brizé takes a different turn with this tender film set at the Breton seaside. Mathieu (Guillaume Canet) lives in Paris, whereas Alice (Alba Rohrwacher) resides in a small coastal town. He is in his fifties and a famous actor, she is in her forties and works as a piano teacher. Fifteen years ago they were lovers but they each went their own way. Time passed, the wounds slowly healed, but things change when they run into each other at a spa.
