During a holiday in Poland, Bethany breaks away from the romantic itinerary planned by her devoted boyfriend Rob (Will Madden), fearing that he is about to propose. Instead, she reconnects with an old friend, Nel, and over the course of a few days, the two women rediscover a unique, explosive chemistry in a restrained yet passionate encounter, rooted in lesbian synchronicity and a shared love of poetry.

However, Bethany’s impulsive nature is a fateful trait that Nel knows all too well. As lovestruck Rob wanders through Warsaw in search of answers, the three try to unravel the difference between destiny and chance.

Charli XCX gives a strong lead performance as Bethany in Erupcja. Director Pete Ohs presents a truly unconventional film about the difference between chance and fate.
