Dreams (Drømmer) is a psychological drama about ideals versus reality, self-discovery, and romantic fantasies.
High school student Johanne experiences intense infatuation with her French teacher and records her feelings in a diary. When her mother and grandmother read what she has written, they are both shocked by the details and impressed by the literary qualities. While they discuss whether to publish it, Johanne tries to get a grip on her romantic fantasies.
